Raccoon caught on Bushnell Trophy Cam

I couldn't do it, I couldn't wait! In my last post I mentioned getting a new camera trap (Bushnell Trophy Cam HD) as a late gift to myself. I said that I would wait 5 whole days to mess with it, and I just couldn't do it!

I just went out and checked it, and got the following video:

How cool is this?

I know, not a particularly exotic or rare animal for Upstate, NY...but the video quality is spot on, and the video has SOUND!

The only difference in basic operation that I have noticed so far (Cuddeback vs. Bushnell) is that the Bushnell takes stills OR videos. Not both simultaneously, as Cuddeback boasted they could. My camera occasionally did it, when the stars aligned....

Anyway, I have 1 week left at my parent's house in Western, NY...then back to my house in Schoharie where I've had the aforementioned Cuddeback "soaking" since mid-December. We'll see.

    1. Thanks Bill. It's nothing TOO exciting, but just super nice quality. Let me know if you still have problems watching it. Someone else told me she couldn't view it- on her iPad.

  3. Yup, works on the computer. Good clear clip and good resolution. Looks great! The way you have your clip inserted requires Adobe Flash to play it, so because of this, it will not work on iPhone or iPad. Adobe and Apple don't like each other:)) Mp4 is the preferred format to work with Apple handheld devices. .m4v and .mov formats will also work just in case you were wondering. Have a great night!

    1. Ok good to know. I just downloaded a converter program to convert the file. For some reason, Bushnell records in .AVI movie format. I never had an issue with Cuddeback (that I knew of). I'll convert in the future. Thanks!
